Most golf cart batteries use cheap foam and tape, which press against the cell’s sealed top — not just structurally weak, but also critical for safety — making them unreliable in vibration environments. Novaic uses steel bands combined with rigid end plates to secure the battery cells from all sides. This is automotive standard.

Our battery comes with a matched extension cord designed specifically for fast charging. Once installed, there's no need to reach under the seat or reconnect cables—just plug it in like your EV and enjoy a full 0–100% charge in just 5 hours with the included 20A charger. One-time setup, seamless charging every time.

FAQs

What type of cells does the battery use and what are their benefits?

The battery uses EV Grade A Prismatic Cells of EVE which offer over 4000 cycles at 100% DOD, 6000 cycles at 80% DOD, 15,000 cycles at 60% DOD. DOD means Depth of Discharge (DOD). EVE is also the main cells provider of top-end electric vehicle brand like BMW and XPENG

How does the peak discharge capability benefit my golf cart?

The battery can handle peak discharges of up to 600A for 3 seconds, providing sufficient power to handle slopes and harsh roads

Do I need to change my motor or controller to use the battery? Or it is plug and play?

As long as your cart system is operating at 48V and currently using a lead-acid battery, our LiFePO4 lithium golf cart batteries can be a direct replacement. You would not need to change your electric motor or speed controller, making it a plug-and-play solution.

What is the difference between 51.2v and 48v golf cart batteries?

The primary difference between 48V and 51.2V golf cart batteries lies in their voltage and associated performance capabilities. A 51.2V battery, typically a lithium-ion battery, offers a higher voltage than the traditional 48V lead-acid battery, leading to more power output, increased efficiency, and potentially faster charging times. This higher voltage can result in improved speed and torque, making 51.2V batteries preferable for more demanding applications. However, they generally come at a higher initial cost but can offer long-term savings due to lower maintenance needs and longer lifespans.

The actual voltage of Novaic 48V golf cart battery is 51.2V, and the reason why 48V is displayed is to cater to the perception of most lead-acid battery users. It is perfectly compatible with the 48V golf cart system, you just need to check to see if the size is suitable

Can this battery replace Trojan 12v lead acid battery for golf carts?

Yes, this battery can replace Trojan 12V lead-acid batteries. It is equivalent to four Trojan 12V lead-acid batteries connected in series. Ensure that the dimensions of your battery compartment are compatible with this battery for a successful upgrade.
